A journey into the deepest recesses of our soul.
The encounter with our most profound memories can be unsettling; this is what I sought to create with Narcotico, a personal, deep journey into the most hidden olfactory memories of my soul. Narcotico narrates, through a journey to Palermo, a city of a thousand contrasts, among its alleys and churches, the spiritual journey of the soul, my personal relationship with the Sacred. The opening of the fragrance is strong, sharp, obsessively edgy; Incense and Thyme blend and gradually open the doors to this sacred place, memory. The contrast continues endlessly, between the sweet notes of Tonka Bean, Benzoin, and a floral accord, matured over time. Narcotico contains within its meaning a dedication to Pier Paolo Pasolini and Antonello da Messina, two souls who have influenced my life, in my return to Sicily after many years. The evolution of the fragrance offers us an unexpected welcome; the soul has found peace, has found its answers. An accord of Patchouli, Oud, Guaiac Wood, Vetiver, and Labdanum reminds us of the place where we often hide our soul, an old drawer forgotten over time. Returning to my land after many years has shaken my spirit; narrating all this through Narcotico has provided answers to my questions.
[Narcotico was conceived, created, and arranged, listening to the albums: La Casa del Dolore and Memorie Statiche by Nenia at each stage.]
