A yuzu lemonade on a hot August afternoon. The island holds psychedelic places and impressions, sublime moods that only heat can create: the hot wind, a faint citrus scent, yuzu lemonades by day and night, the horizon. That same year, after a long absence, I returned to Sicily and Japan; it was the summer of 2023. Lemonades at the old harbour, children in the sunlit lanes of the kasbah, warm wind on the beaches, a sip of amaro every evening and familiar friends from distant worlds.
